About our Cathedral City concrete company
We're a Cathedral City concrete contractor building driveways, patios and pool decks, and we spend the most care on the ground and drainage you'll never see.
How Cathedral City Concrete got started
I spent every summer through school working on concrete crews, and by the time I finished I knew I wanted a company of my own. I started Cathedral City Concrete here in 2017. Today we're best known for driveways, patios and pool decks, mostly for homeowners, with some work for owners of small commercial properties.
What I care about most is the work nobody sees once it's done. That's the subgrade, the packed ground your slab sits on, and where the water goes when it runs off. A clean finish on a base that was only raked level will settle with the dirt underneath, so that part of the job gets our time first.
Our own crew does the work, led by our foreman, and I stop by while it's underway. Thank you for taking the time to read this. You'll find everything we pour on our home page, and if you'd like to talk about your own driveway, patio or pool deck, please get in touch.
- A base that's dug out and packed
- Drainage checked before the pour
- Joints cut where we choose
- A clean site when we leave
What hiring our concrete crew is like
We treat your house and your time with respect. We explain each choice before we ask you to make it, keep you posted as the job moves along, and clean up before we leave.
Me, start to finish
I come out for the first visit and I'm back for the final walkthrough, so what we agreed on is what gets built.
Choices explained first
Before you pick a finish or a layout, I'll tell you what each option means for your job, so nothing surprises you later.
Pours planned around heat
We plan each pour around that day's heat and wind, because concrete rushed on a hot afternoon doesn't finish the way it should.
An estimate you can compare
Your estimate is written out item by item, so you can see what's included and weigh it fairly against any other quote.
Permits handled for you
If your job needs a permit, we handle the application and set up the inspections with the city, and you'll know before any work starts.
A reply by next business day
We answer every call and message within one business day, so you're not left wondering whether anyone got it.
How we run a concrete job
Every job starts with me on your property and ends with a walkthrough, and in between we keep the site tidy and keep you posted on what comes next.
First visit
I come out, look at the ground, the slope and where the water runs, and listen to what you want built.
Plan and estimate
You get a free written estimate laid out item by item, with no obligation, and we're fully licensed and insured for the work.
Preparing the ground
We dig out and pack the base, set the slope so water runs away from the house, and place rebar, the steel that holds a slab together.
The pour
Our crew pours in the cooler hours, adds a broom finish for grip underfoot, and cuts control joints, grooves that tell cracks where to go.
Curing and clean-up
We clean up, walk the finished slab with you, and go over curing, the wait while it hardens before use. Satisfaction guaranteed on every job.
